Why do I call this a "CD Non-Release Party"? Well, it was supposed to be a CD Release Party, but the CD wasn't ready yet. But, once Marc explained why it wasn't ready, we were all sympathetic and agreed to give them some extra time to complete the project. You see, Marc had to be in California most of the month conducting workshops and the like, so he left Jay in charge of the final mixing and recording. Well, poor Jay got confused and started recording on 8-tracks instead of CD's!! Oh my!! Well, that's Marc's story and he's sticking to it. Truthfully, if the CD had been ready on time I think we'd all have been shocked, because in the two years I've been hanging around with all these songwriters, not one of them has ever had a CD ready when it was supposed to be (not the writers faults by the way!)
Never-the-less we were treated to a wonderful performance as usual. If you haven't seen these guys yet, I suggest you get a life and get out and see Volcano of Soul. Maybe you can make it to the 'real' CD Release Party!
We were also treated to a wonderful surprise when Hall of Fame songwriter Mr. Billy Edd Wheeler joined Volcano on stage. Mr. Wheeler and Dana did a rousing rendition of Mr. Wheeler's song "Jackson".
(Jay, we're gonna have to make the rest of those guys scoot closer together so we can get all five of you in the picture next time!)
