Well, we
tried out a new venue tonight! All I can say is "what took
me so long to find this place?" A wonderful dinner is served
prior to the show by very friendly and courteous staff. A small
intimate atmosphere, where the writers are appreciated and respected.
Tonights
writers were Tom Hambridge, Bill McCorvey and Kimberley Dahme.
Tom
is one of my favorites whom I go to see whenever I can. Tom
brought along our good friend and great guitar player Steve
C for accompaniment. We dont get to see Tom as much as we'd
like since he is often on tour. He recently finished a tour
with George Thorogood, and is about to hit the road with Buddy
Guy.
Bill
McCorvey is a member of the band Pirates of the Mississippi,
and an accomplished songwriter. You might remember the Pirates'
hit "Feed Jake". If you get the chance to go to one
of Bill's shows, be sure and ask him to sing one of myfavorite
songs, "Dirt".
Kimberley
Dahme; what a voice. I'd had the pleasure of hearing her one
other time when she sat in for a couple of songs with Bill at
the Bluebird one night. Kimberly also plays bass and tours with
the group Boston. I dont quite know how she does it all.
